Day Civic Concerns Workshop at Hotel Hungry Eye"(Lakeside, Pokhara) |

As a routine
program of YC, YC organized another Civic Concerns workshop jointly with Youth
Initiative (YI) on 26th Feburary at Hotel Hungry Eye. This Program was
facilitated by Surya from YC, Robin Sitoula and Rajendra Ghimire from YI. This
program was divided in sessions. The session was beguine by the Introduction of
Participats and was followed by Program rationale. Second session was relying on
"Identifying issues and solution". In this session participant were divided into
five groups to discuss on the subject matter and prepare their report on the
given subject. After each group finished their given work the there told to
present their report respectably. In this way the session second ended and
another session started which was quite interesting it was visual session in
with the participant were shown 25 minutes documentary by Shiva Kheral on
"Freedom is Not Free". This documentary is based on Shiva Kheral's booked
entiltled Freedom is not Free.
This document focused on some major question as
-Do you want the next 50 years to be like the last 50 years?
-Youth does not form a 100% of today's population, but does form 100% of
tomorrow's future.
-What is Education?
-A nation does not become greatly by shouthing great slogans.
-If justice is worth having its woth fighting for.
-"Patners of crime vs. victims of crime"
-Beyond the rule of law refuse of the scoundrels.
-Why don't people take a stand? - People don't want to fight for their own
freedom; they want their neighbors to do!!
After this session the workshop ended with the distribution of certificate to
the participants. |
