About Us:
Youth for Change (YC)
is a non-government, non-profit making social organization
established in 2004 by a group of youths for youths. YC aims
of enterprising youths that seek to bring positive changes
in the society through moral, social, psychological, and
intellectual transformations of youths. Youths have
potentials and ideas but they lack orientation and we are
here to provide them with appropriate materials and tools.
YC works to strengthen bonds between young people and their
community.
Overall Goal:
Youth Empowerment: The concept of
empowerment includes participation, rights and
responsibilities, capacity building and/or social
integration. Youth empowerment involves handing power to
young people as individuals, youth organizations,
communities, nations, and international actors so that they
can have the opportunity to make decisions that affect their
lives and well-being.
Vision:
Youth for Change envisions educated, skillful, responsible,
independent, civilized, peaceful and responsible youths and
society where young people are respected.
Mission:
To foster, develop, empower and support youth and youth
initiative, and a strong representational youth voice in the
service and decision-making life of our community, and to
engage youth as resources on a county, state-wide, national
and international basis.

To INFORM youths about the issues
and concerns that affects them.
To STRENGTHEN youths by imparting
required skills and providing proper opportunities and
mentoring.

for the positive and sustainable social CHANGE for the

Specific Objectives:

Empower youths through information, knowledge and skills.

Engage youth with a good understanding of their needs and
priorities and involve in all types of development
programs in their communities, as well as on a personal
level.

Provide young people's perspective to community
decision-making boards;

Develop leadership on young people.

To develop Youth entrepreneurship to reduce unemployment.

Encourage youth initiatives through active participation.

Promote youth volunteerism.

Involve youths in furthering the discourses on different
socially relevant issues

Explore and expose the hidden youth’s talents.

Establish a research and resource center.

Rehabilitate youth displaced by various social conflicts
and natural disasters.

To work in health matters especially HIV/AIDS and STD.
